ONE VOICE FOR LIBERTY - 8th MARH 2025 - A Global Celebration of Unity, Empowerment & Connection in the Making
We are deeply grateful to all who joined and, or, supported us for the inaugural One Voice for Liberty event on Saturday, March 8th — International Women’s day. Your presence and support transformed this gathering into the foundation of a meaningful movement. Thanks to your energy, enthusiasm, and ideas, we are confident it will flourish into the global initiative it is destined to become.
The day brimmed with inspiration, connection, and collaboration. Whether you attended as a visitor, hosted a stall, led a session, donated prizes or supported in other capacities, your contributions were invaluable. You made the event a powerful and uplifting experience, setting the stage for even greater future endeavours. Thank you for creating such a beautiful, vibrant, and heartwarming occasion And thank you to Coronation Hall Boroughbridge for the use of a brilliant and well cared-for venue.
A special thank you to our brilliant stallholders and session leaders and caterers (social media links below) —your passion, creativity, and generosity were truly inspiring and invaluable. It was an honour to have you as part of this journey.
To our amazing volunteers, your support made everything possible. Your kindness, effort, and dedication did not go unnoticed.
We also wish to extend our love and appreciation to those who graced the stage:
• Rie Pearson, author of Be Kind No Excuses, and Silvia of Hummingbird Mind Therapy, for their profound stories of self-empowerment and motivation.
• Michael Smallman, author of A Chocolate-Coated Piranha, and Gillian Walnes-Perry, author of The Legacy of Anne Frank, for sharing their inspiring narratives.
• Heather Findlay and Nicky at Nicky-Noo-Noo for their hauntingly beautiful singing performances.
• Dr. Madan Kataria, the ‘Guru of Giggle’ who created Laughter Yoga in the mid-90s, and Daniela Abecasis Eriksen for their wonderful and thoroughly enjoyable collaboration.
• ...and not forgetting the hilarious appearances by Adrian, Usu'ra and Jayne—a brilliant continuation of the giggle! Well-done and another thank you to the script writers - Cath Deans and Andrea Atwell.
For those who witnessed the Anne Frank stage presentation featuring an interview with Gillian Walnes-Perry, you may recall the quote Otto Frank is renowned for:
“If the world were to end tomorrow, I would still plant a tree today.” Otto Frank.
That legacy of hope and action is at the heart of what we are building together. Otto Frank planted his tree through his work with the Anne Frank Trust, and on Saturday March 8th, we planted a seed of our own. With your continued support, this seed will grow into something truly magnificent. From small beginnings, a mighty oak will rise. Watch this space!
We extend our deepest gratitude to all who have generously contributed directly to the UNICEF fund in support of this event and the remarkable work UNICEF continues to do. Transparency is important to us, so a breakdown of all funds raised, is also detailed below with a commitment to carrying this program forward into 2026.
